GeoCat Live Catalogue Services 2026.1

GeoCat Live Catalogue Services have been updated to use GeoCat Find 2026.1 (GeoNetwork 4.4.x) technology.

User interface

  • Do not set humanized date when not set the related user interface setting.
  • Search results / Add the option to sort search results by title in descending order.

Map viewer

  • Fix horizontal scroll bar in WFS features table.
  • Manage layers / Map layer ellipsis is not always clickable.

Metadata

  • Metadata delete:
  • Display a custom dialog to confirm the metadata deletion, instead of the browser confirm dialog.
  • Allow to display a custom message, based on the metadata resource type(s) to delete.
  • Fix group owner update of metadata when the metadata workflow is enabled.
  • Fix issue preventing an editor user to change privileges when a metadata is published.
  • Improve the metadata batch validation report to display verbose information of the validation issues.
  • Limit the metadata MEF (ZIP) export resources size and add an option to exclude attachments.
  • Metadata editor:
  • Close the service link dialogue box when linking it to the service metadata.
  • Improve WMS resource configuration.
  • Separate date and datetime options in date picker control.

Administration

  • Group name may only contain alphanumeric characters and hyphens (not consecutive). Cannot begin or end with an hyphen.
  • Username may only contain alphanumeric characters and hyphens, dots or colons or at-arrow (not consecutive). Cannot begin or end with an hyphen, colon or at-arrow.
  • Max length of group name is 32.
  • Max length of username is 255.
  • Simple URL harvester / Improve CKAN Harvester by converting HTML to plain text.

API and automation

  • API / Allow editors to index their records.
  • API / Make userIdentifier optional in user selection API.
  • Remote datastores (jclouds, cmis, s3) / stream metadata resources directly from the store, instead of creating a local copy which is then streamed to the client.

Security

  • Harden login redirect URL validation: only server-local relative paths are honoured; anything else falls back to the application context home.
